Last week, Joakim and Linda had the pleasure of meeting 1,000 young students and their parents at Vestfyns Gymnasium. It was an amazing opportunity to share our passion for electronics and showcase why we at Micro Technic embrace being a little nerdy!
Too often, “nerdy” is seen as a negative thing, but for us, it’s the heartbeat of our innovation. We love geeking out about electronics, and it was so much fun passing on that excitement to the next generation!
Traditionally, we bring along our Big Red Button Challenge—an incredibly precision game (thanks to our talented Test technicians) where participants aim to hit the 10-second mark perfectly. It’s been a crowd favourite for years.
But this year, Joakim had an epiphany: why not create something new? Inspired by a classic game, Joakim and his colleagues set out to build Micro Technic’s very own operation game!
After weeks of brainstorming, prototyping with the biggest cardboard box in our warehouse, and some great teamwork, the game was ready—and it was a huge hit! Boys, girls, parents… everyone wanted a turn. 🎯
Seeing the enthusiasm and curiosity sparked in the students was incredibly rewarding. We hope we inspired a few to consider a future in electronics, where being “nerdy” is not only welcomed—it’s celebrated!
A big shoutout to Joakim and everyone who contributed to this creative project. You are part of what makes Micro Technic a fantastic place to be.
